You will be expected to acquire conversation skills on the basic usage of academic English and verbal skill. This course offers unique contents through story books and easy listening songs.

| Type 2. BASIC READING COMPREHENSION |

This course is designated to provide reading and understanding ability. It will develop your power to understand in English by learning words, idioms, and short/long sentences.

| Type 3. LITERATURE |
|
You will learn how to read and understand famous English literatures. A number of texts will be studied throughout the course, including easy, fun American texts.

This course is designed to develop writing skills. Students will be involved in written expression such as creating a story, essay and set of instructions.

|
This course is a study and practice of intermediate to advanced grammar. It will provide students with a solid foundation in grammar to succeed in English.

| The ESL Academic program consists of six (6) sequenced credit courses that stress English grammar, speaking, reading, and writing skills. This communication and language arts program provides specialized instruction and learning opportunities designed for low beginning to high advanced students. CTU¡¯s ESL program has two different courses, ESL Academic Program and ESL concentrated Program for various student goals. New students will be expected to take a Placement Test in the areas of speaking, listening, reading and writing. |
